Course Details

The aim of this Fire Warden course is to give participants the skills and confidence, to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using the correct fire extinguisher. The course is also designed to train staff in your fire safety procedures.

Certification & Assessment

Operatives who successfully complete the course will be Certified in Fire Warden Training. It is valid for 3 years

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at persons who have been designated as fire wardens in their own workplaces. It is also beneficial to other persons in the workplace such as managers, supervisors and maintenance personnel. There are no pre- requisites.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

• List their duties as fire wardens
• Identify fire hazards in the workplace
• Use portable fire extinguishers effectively
• Manage and control evacuations
• Describe the chemistry of fire
• Monitor fire controls
• Assist in the management of evacuation procedures/drills
